I was flipping through a book recently called Pretty Things.. about 1920-1945 Burlesque Costumery and the images were so beautiful. I wanted to create something that had the feeling of the past not just an image of girl done up to look that way. I searched for the perfect model and costuming. I used vintage hotlights (not the cheap ones you can buy anywhere). I really feel strongly about this image. She is so beautiful.

This is fuckin cool, I think your work is improving... pull back the model and the camera to get rid of splotchy background, but that is hard to do at mason... I hate the studios...

i think i'm awesome ha ha. I really wanted the wrinkles to be there because I wanted it to look like the portraits done in the 1920s with shitty wrinkles and ghetto backdrops. I could have smoothed it out but thats what I was goin for. thanks anyway dude.
